Hello and welcome to our forums!

We hope you're enjoying our first alpha release as much as we enjoyed creating it. If you have any feedback - ideas, bug reports, suggestions, problems - please let us know.

The change list with some highlights for this version is mostly only relevant to people that already participated in our sneak peek, but maybe you'll find it still interesting. We're already excited for Alpha 2!


General Gameplay
    Dropping to 0 sanity will no longer result in instant game over. Instead, very bad events will happen.
    You can now choose from various perks for your main explorer when completing an expedition
    Removed native units and the water buffalo from initial trek setup - they now have to be recruited in villages
    Units will now start with their level 1 perk
    Added new unit: The cook. She is able to cook raw meat at nature camping spots
Pack animals
    Added new pack animal: The giant tortoise. No word on how to get it, though
    Increased carrying capacity of donkey
    Reduced carrying capacity of water buffalo. It also does not count as 2 units anymore
    Tuned random starting gear
    Butterflies generate fame at expedition end
    Added a settings screen for music/sound volume and fullscreen
    Lots of other small enhancements
    The game now works better with vertical window sizes below 600 px

I first heard about your The Curious Expedition in the Indie Fresse podcast and really liked your idea. ( ... en-mensch/). Can't wait to see the game evolving.
