Post spelling error / suggestions here

Postby Johannes.K » Wed Nov 26, 2014 10:37 pm

As you may have noticed, our game features a lot of text. Since we are no native speakers, there may be spelling errors or weird usages of words. If you find anything that could be improved we'd be very thankful if you posted your findings here.

The tutorial states that the compass is in the "upper left" corner of the screen, but it's actually in the upper right (for me!).

Oh we changed the compass location in the last moment and forgot to update the tutorial! Thanks!

The word pyramind instead of pyramid when hovering over the fame badge.

On a day 102: 'however they demanded atribute' instead of 'a tribute'.

'The last weeks had been too much for $him'

I traded the egg away, but still got the mini tortoise after a couple of days.

Also, treck is preferable to trek.

Thanks! We'll look into these and will update the build. About trek: I always thought it's trek as in star trek. I'm no native speaker though. The dictionary I checked doesn't seem to know about 'treck'.

It is. Treck isn't a word.

Hi,

I noticed that the female cooks have male firstnames such as Jean-Pierre ou Antoine. Calling a woman Jean-Pierre sounds particularly strange to a french speaker.
I would suggest you to use female equivalents (Jean-Pierre/Marie-Jeanne, Antoine/Antoinette). There is also a few unisex first names like Camille or Dominique.

Yes, we currently are working on supporting female names for units. We really wanted the female version in as well, so we went with having them male names for now. Hopefully we'll have that fixed in the next update :-)

The tooltip for "paranoid" contains a mistake. Currently it says "Suffers from a general distrust of others, is anxiety [...]". Anxiety must be replaced with anxious. Or maybe "Suffers from general distrust and anxiety". I guess you catch my drift :) Also by the way, it was my donkey who was paranoid. Blocking animals from several statuses would make sense, I guess. :D
