Add Status to explorer

Status' like drum's st-aggro or st-overburden somehow know how to be added/removed directly to the explorer. How can I do that for a status as a modder?

Yes, checking for reqCharFlags: special is exactly how we also did it for the main game. To my knowledge there is no other way. Is there anything this is lacking for what you want to achieve?

Aggro and overburden are hardcoded in the engine. To use it from script you already seem to use the correct way. You might also use setPartyStatus, as a shortcut.
